What Candy Shorts is

Candy Shorts is a video section inside Candy AI. It is not a separate app and not a separate subscription. Where the rest of the platform is built around a conversation you drive, Shorts is something you watch: a fixed cast, a written story, and episodes that arrive in order.

The format borrows its shape from vertical microdrama — portrait video, a minute or two per episode, a cliffhanger at the end of most of them. What it does not borrow is the feed. You pick a series and work through it; nothing autoplays you into a different story.

What's in the catalogue

107 series were live on 22 September 2026, and the number moves quickly — it more than quadrupled over twelve days earlier this month. Most of the catalogue sits in a handful of recurring setups: step-family scenarios, workplace power imbalances, and a smaller run of fantasy and period pieces.

One quirk is worth knowing before you go looking for something. Many series are filed under the lead character's name, not the title on the card. Mona's Worst Enemy lives at mona-newman; Caught Between Sisters at emilia-vermont. Search the title and you can come back empty on a series that is very much there.

Episodes and format

A series launches with about five episodes and grows. The longer runs reach fifteen. Episodes are numbered and meant to be watched in order — they are chapters, not variations on a theme.

Playback is vertical and full-screen, with the usual scrub bar and volume. There is no download, no offline mode, and no way to watch outside Candy AI.

How explicit it gets

Candy Shorts and Candy AI: the difference

They are not two products. Candy AI is the platform; Shorts is one section of it, alongside chat, image generation and video. You cannot subscribe to Shorts on its own, and an account that can watch Shorts can do everything else too.

The naming is the confusing part. The official product surface is candyshorts.com, the platform is candy.ai, and both spellings — "Candy Shorts" and "Candy AI Shorts" — refer to the same thing.
